We had a first birthday party for Addy today. We debated about how to celebrate without my mom here. This first birthday celebration, for both Addy and her birthday buddy, Pam (her zia, my sister), without mom was hard. But she would have wanted a celebration for her. So, we celebrated by eating cupcakes with our family and friends. They were yummy. Addy enjoyed every bit of texture they had to offer. It's amazing how much she has grown in one year, from a mere 8 pound bundle of soft, crying, nursing, sleeping, pooping, baby to a personality filled, funny face making, mess generating, curious, 25 pound, 32" one year old. Wow, it goes by fast.
