My Nonno (maternal grandfather) had a green thumb that my sister inherited; mine's a pale yellow. Growing up he grew THE most beautiful garden full of gorgeous flowers, grapes (for wine making of course), greens, the largest tomatoes and the longest and tastiest zucchini you could imagine. These zucchini grew on a trellis he built in his backyard in Redford and as they grew they hung down over the walkway, creating a zucchini jungle. These zucchini were not zucchini bread zucchini. They were meant to be eaten on their own, sauteed in some butter. Delectable. My Nonno was also an avid seed saver and for a while my mom had these fine zucchini seeds, but alas we have them no longer. If anyone out there happens to have any of these seeds, send them our way!
